Heat vs Magic 2025 season opener at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook

Beyond football, basketball is arguably the most popular sport to bet on in the United States. From the NBA‘s tip-off in October to the thrill of college basketball in March, there is seemingly always something to look forward to on the hardwood.

Whether this is your first time betting on basketball or you’re simply looking to sharpen your strategy, this guide will walk you through how basketball betting works at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

Which basketball leagues can

I bet on at Hard Rock Bet?

From college rivalries to the professional ranks, Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook offers a diverse range of options when it comes to betting on basketball. Whether you follow the NBA, WNBA, college hoops, or international leagues, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action.

NBA (National Basketball Association)

The National Basketball Association is the pinnacle of professional basketball and one of the most popular leagues in the entire world.

The NBA consists of 30 teams, divided equally between the Eastern and Western Conferences. Every team plays an 82-game regular season schedule, split between home and away matchups. The action begins midway through October and continues all the way into June, wrapping up with the NBA Playoffs and the crowning of a champion in the NBA Finals.

Nearly every night, the NBA delivers fast-paced, high-scoring basketball that keeps fans and bettors on the edge of their seats from tip-off to the final buzzer. The combination of athleticism, shooting, and star power makes the NBA one of the most exciting leagues to follow, watch, and wager on – and the betting options are endless at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association)

The Women’s National Basketball Association stands as the premier professional women’s basketball league in the world, showcasing elite talent, teamwork, and skill at the highest level.

Currently comprised of 13 teams with plans for further expansion, the WNBA tips off in May and runs through the summer months, culminating with the WNBA Playoffs and Finals in October. The league features a 44-game regular season that highlights some of the best athletes on the planet, from veteran superstars to rising college standouts.

NCAAM & NCAAW (College Basketball)

College basketball brings nonstop energy, unpredictable upsets, and several high-stakes tournaments that make every game worth watching. At Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, players can wager on both men’s and women’s college basketball, with markets available from the early non-conference games all the way through the Big Dance.

From nightly matchups to future bets on who will cut down the nets, college basketball provides an extensive variety of wagering options. Whether you’re following a top-ranked team or a Cinderella story, Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook has every angle covered for both men’s and women’s college hoops.

International Leagues

Outside of the United States, basketball is arguably the second-most popular sport in the entire world behind soccer. That being said, it should come as no surprise that Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook comes stocked with a heavy profile of international basketball leagues to choose from.

These competitions often feature rising stars, former NBA players, and the most passionate fanbases you’ll come across. Some of the international basketball leagues on offer at Hard Rock Bet include:

 • Euroleague (Europe)
 • NBL (Australia)
 • NBB (Brazil)
 • Korisliiga (Finland)
 • LNBP (Mexico)
 • Serie A (Italy)
 • PLK (Poland)
 • KBL (South Korea)

Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook also offers game lines, futures, prop bets and more during major tournaments like the FIBA World Cup and the Olympics.

What kind of basketball betting markets are available?

Spurs vs Mavericks at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook

There are plenty of ways to wager on basketball at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook. From picking outright Winners to parlaying player props, here’s a breakdown of some of the most popular options available for basketball betting:

Winners (Moneyline)

Betting the moneyline is one of the simplest wagers in all of sports betting, as it only requires you to pick which team will win the game. No point spreads, no margin of victory – just the winner. At Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, these are also known as Winner bets.

For example, let’s say the Miami Heat are listed at +125 on the moneyline against the Boston Celtics at -150:

 • A $100 bet on the Heat (+125) would return $125 in profit if they win, plus your initial $100 stake.
 • On the contrary, you’d need to lay down $150 on the Celtics (-150) to win $100 in profit if they take the victory, along with your $150 stake.

Point Spreads

Point spreads are one of the most common ways to bet on basketball, as they even the playing field between teams of different skill levels. Instead of picking the game’s outright winner, you’re betting on whether your team will cover the spread – either by winning by a certain number of points or keeping the game closer than expected.

For example, suppose the New York Knicks are listed as 6.5-point favorites against the underdog Chicago Bulls:

 • Wagers on the Knicks (-6.5) will win if New York wins the game by 7 points or more.
 • Bets on the Bulls (+6.5) will cash if Chicago either wins the game outright or loses by 6 points or fewer.

While spreads that include a half-point (known as the hook) can’t result in a tie, whole-number spreads can end in what’s called a push. For example, if the Knicks were favored by exactly 6 points in the scenario above and won 122-116, the game would land right on the number – meaning all point spread bets on either side would be refunded.

Totals (Over/Under)

Totals, or Over/Under bets, involve predicting the combined number of points scored by both teams in a basketball game. For example, imagine a matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors with the total set at 226.5 points:

 • Bets on the Over will cash if the teams combine for 227 points or more.
 • Wagers on the Under will win if the teams combine for 226 points or fewer.

It’s that simple – you’re not picking a team, just forecasting how much scoring there will be.

What kind of basketball props are offered?

If you’re looking to go beyond standard bets like point spreads or totals, prop bets open up an entirely new way to play. These wagers focus on specific outcomes within a game, from individual player stats to team achievements. Whether you’re betting on how many points Victor Wembanyama will score or how many assists Caitlin Clark will dish out, basketball props make every play on the hardwood that much more important.

Game props

Game props let you bet on specific moments or outcomes within a basketball game beyond the final score. These wagers might include which team will score the first basket, which quarter will have the highest score, or whether the game will go to overtime.

For instance, if the Milwaukee Bucks are facing the Phoenix Suns, you could wager on which side will reach 50 points first.

Team props

Team props focus on how a single team performs during a game rather than the combination of both sides. For instance, you could back the Oklahoma City Thunder to score over 115.5 points, or take the Cleveland Cavaliers to win all four quarters.

Other popular team props include betting on which team will win a specific quarter or win both halves.

Player props

Due to its high scoring, fast-paced tempo and abundance of star power, modern NBA basketball is the perfect sport for betting on player props. Players at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook can choose from a wide variety of player props such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to score 30+ points, LeBron James to record 8+ rebounds, or Trae Young to dish out 12+ assists. Not only are these bets a ton of fun to research and watch play out, but they also keep every game interesting even if the final score is no longer a factor.

In addition to the examples above, here are a few other common player props that you can wager on at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook:

 • First Basket Scorer: Bet on which player will score the game’s opening basket – a high-risk, high-reward market that often comes with longer odds.
 • Player Points (O/U): Wager on how many total points a player will score in a game.
 • Player Rebounds (O/U): Predict how many boards a specific player will pull down in a game.
 • Player Assists (O/U): Bet on how many dimes a player will dish.
 • Points + Assists + Rebounds (O/U): Combine three major stat categories into one line, betting on a player’s overall impact across scoring, playmaking, and rebounding.
 • Player to Record a Double-Double: Bet on whether a player will notch double digits in two statistical categories – such as points and rebounds, or points and assists.
 • Player to Record a Triple-Double: Another high-risk, high-reward market. You’re betting on a player to post double digits in three separate statistical categories, most commonly points, rebounds, and assists.

 • NBA Team to Make Playoffs: Predict whether a specific team will qualify for the postseason.
 • NBA Player Awards: Back your picks for season-long honors such as MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, or Most Improved Player.

The World Series is the most prominent event in Major League Baseball each year, and one that captivates the attention of baseball fans all around the world. This event is often dubbed “The Fall Classic” and annually features two of the best teams in baseball battling it out for the highly-coveted Commissioner’s Trophy in late October and sometimes even early November.

It’s a best-of-seven series filled with high stakes and endless drama. With that, of course, comes ample opportunity to get in on the action at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook (no Hard Rock promo code is required to get started). Let’s discuss everything there is to know about World Series odds, from the types of bets you can make to which teams are in strong position to hoist the trophy in 2025.

What are the latest World Series odds?

How do World Series odds work?

World Series odds for individual games are typically released after the conclusion of the American League and National League Championship Series, respectively. Depending on whether or not pitching matchups are already locked in, they may be unveiled one game at a time, starting with Game 1.

World Series betting odds look exactly like the odds that are available for every single regular season game, however, there is going to be a bigger emphasis placed on each matchup. There is just so much more on the line in each game as opposed to the other 162 regular season games.

Similar to every other baseball game, when it comes to the World Series, there are going to be three main betting options available: winner (moneyline), spread (run line), and total (over/under). Let’s dive into each market below.

Winner Bet

When it comes to wagering on baseball, the moneyline is always going to be one of the most popular betting options out there. At Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, this is referred to as a Winner bet, and will be one of the first markets you see when scrolling past a baseball game on the app or website.

Both teams in every World Series game will have winner bet odds available, and the premise is exactly what its name describes: correctly pick the game’s winner to cash in your bet.

Run Line

While spread betting is much less common in baseball, it is available in the form of a run line at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook. Run lines are typically set at 1.5 runs in any given baseball game and require players to predict the margin of victory rather than simply choosing the game’s outright winner.

Betting on the run line can provide a higher payout if you believe that the favorite will win by two or more runs. By laying -1.5 runs, the favorite’s price is effectively shifted to a more attractive number since you are taking a bigger risk and attempting to predict the team’s margin of victory.

Alternatively, when backing the underdog on the run line, your wager’s odds will have to come down a bit in exchange for that +1.5 run cushion. This effectively allows the bet to cash not only if the underdog wins outright, but also if they end up losing the game by exactly 1 run.

Totals (Over/Unders)

Betting on the World Series isn’t limited to moneylines and run lines. For those who may not have a strong pulse on which team might come out on top, totals (over/unders) are a fantastic alternative to get some skin in the game.

Looking at World Series odds in specific, totals can be set around 6.5 or 7.5 runs each game. This is largely due to the fact that October brings out some of the best arms the league has to offer – couple that with some frigid weather and you’ve got a recipe for a pitcher’s duel!

In order to wager on a total, all you’ll need to do is predict whether or not the combined score of a game will finish higher or lower than the set number. Using one of the examples above, a total of 7.5 would go over if the two teams combined to score 8+ runs. Conversely, if the final score reflected a combined score of 7 runs or less, the under would cash.

World Series Futures

2025 World Series Odds on the Hard Rock Bet mobile app

While the World Series is only in action for less than two weeks during the fall, there are countless opportunities to bet on the event in advance at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

Futures betting on the World Series winner is available year-round and makes for a great way to secure added value before it gets closer and odds begin to shift.

That being said, it could pay off to keep an eye on World Series odds throughout the regular season. If of any interest, head over to the MLB tab on the Hard Rock Bet app or website and select ‘Team Futures’ at the top to view the latest odds for the Fall Classic.

World Series Same Game Parlays

While traditional parlay betting remains one of the industry’s favorite ways to wager, it does require multiple legs from different games. That being said, any parlay involving World Series odds would classify as a Same Game Parlay. The concept is exactly the same, other than the fact that all of the involved legs come from the same game.

Since the World Series features some of the biggest baseball games of the entire year, there will naturally be more betting markets available for these games. Hard Rock Bet’s World Series offerings are extensive and many of them can be included in a Same Game Parlay.

In addition to common markets such as the winner, run line, and total, other Same Game Parlay options during the World Series include hits allowed, earned runs allowed, pitcher strikeouts, batter strikeouts, hits, total bases, stolen bases, runs scored, RBIs and home runs.

Live Betting on the World Series

While a good chunk of World Series betting will take place at random points throughout the season, live betting during the actual games is another great option available at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

World Series odds are updated in real-time throughout each game, opening up plenty of opportunities for fans and bettors dialed in on the action. A big advantage of live betting is getting to see and feel how a game is playing out and then making your selections based on the circumstances.

Baseball tends to be a great sport for live betting in general, as it is played at a much slower pace than other sports such as football or basketball. Even though there have been attempts to speed up the action in recent years, there are still going to be some breaks that take place throughout each game.

Not only can you make predictions on how the game is going to play out, but you can also bet on niche markets such as the next pitch or next at-bat’s result. There will also be several live prop betting options available as well. If Hard Rock Bet offers a market pre-game, there is a good chance it will also be offered live in some capacity.

Betting on the World Series with Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook

Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook offers countless betting options for every sport and event imaginable, and the World Series is no different. There is a dedicated section on the sportsbook app and website reserved for MLB games, making it incredibly easy to locate World Series markets as soon as October rolls around.

If you are looking to explore some of the niche betting options tied to a specific game, you can simply click on that game to view a myriad of player prop bets, game props and alternate lines, among other markets.

Hockey Betting Guide: How-to, Popular Bets, Odds, & FAQ

Start Betting
Blackhawks vs Panthers at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook

Hockey is one of the fastest, most unpredictable sports on the planet, and betting on it captures that same intensity. At Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, you can wager on countless NHL markets along with international leagues and global tournaments, giving you plenty of opportunities to get in on every shot, save, and goal.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your betting strategy on the ice, this guide will walk you through how hockey betting works at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

Which hockey leagues can

I bet on at Hard Rock Bet?

Luckily for fans of the sport, Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook is not shy when it comes to its hockey offerings. In addition to a myriad of NHL markets, players can choose from a variety of international leagues as well as worldwide events like the Olympics.

NHL (National Hockey League)

When it comes to wagering on hockey, everything starts with the NHL. The National Hockey League is the highest level of professional hockey in the entire world, with franchises scattered across both the United States and Canada.

The NHL is made up of 32 teams, split evenly between the Eastern and Western Conferences. Each team plays an 82-game schedule every year, with half of those games taking place at home and the other half on the road. The season stretches from early October all the way through June, culminating with the iconic Stanley Cup Finals.

Night after night, the NHL offers hockey fans and bettors nonstop action. The combination of hard hits, fights on the ice, and the drama of playoff hockey makes the NHL one of the most intense leagues to wager on – and the options are plentiful at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

International Hockey Leagues

While the NHL is the premier destination for professional hockey, there’s no shortage of action overseas. International leagues like the SHL (Sweden), Liiga (Finland), and others showcase their fair share of elite talent while providing hockey fans with additional betting opportunities. These leagues not only feature future NHL stars, but also give bettors a chance to wager on high-level hockey outside of North America.

The full list of international hockey leagues available for wagering at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook includes, but is not limited to:

 • ICE Hockey League (Austria)
 • OHL (Canada)
 • WHL (Canada)
 • Chance Liga (Czech)
 • Extraliga (Czech)
 • Superisligaen (Denmark)
 • Liiga (Finland)
 • DEL (Germany)
 • LHHL (Latvia)
 • Eliteserien (Norway)
 • PZHL (Poland)
 • Extraliga (Slovakia)
 • Allsvenskan (Sweden)
 • Swiss League (Switzerland)

Worldwide Competitions

Beyond league play, some of the most exciting hockey on the planet comes from global tournaments. The IIHF World Championship brings several national teams together from across the globe every spring, while the Olympic Games take the stage every four years. In both events, the stakes – and national pride – are at their absolute peak.

The 4 Nations Face-Off is another new tournament that was introduced by the NHL and NHLPA in 2025. Held during the league’s All-Star break, it brought together four powerhouse countries in the United States, Canada, Sweden, and Finland in a best-on-best competition featuring NHL stars only. The inaugural event was a huge success, showcasing the league’s elite talent and giving hockey fans a rare chance to see international rivals face off outside of the Olympics or World Championship.

Hockey betting slate at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook

What kind of hockey markets are available?

Hockey betting markets at Hard Rock Bet

There are several different ways to wager on hockey games at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook. From simply picking Winners to an endless crop of player props, here’s a look into some of the most popular markets for hockey betting:

Winners (Moneyline)

Known as Winner bets at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, betting the moneyline in hockey is as simple as it gets: you just need to pick which team you believe will win the game outright. Your chosen team needs to secure the victory, no matter how they do it.

Let’s say the Tampa Bay Lightning are +115 on the moneyline against the Florida Panthers at -140:

 • A $100 bet on the Lightning (+115) would return $115 in profit if they win, plus your initial $100 stake.
 • You’d need to bet $140 on the Panthers (-140) to net $100 in profit if they win, in addition to your $140 stake.

The best part about betting the moneyline in hockey is that the NHL has no ties, so there is no chance that your bet can end in a push. Regular season games that head to overtime are eventually decided via shootout, while postseason games feature multiple overtime periods until they are settled.

Puck Lines

The puck line serves as hockey’s version of the point spread. Unlike other sports (football, basketball) where the spread changes from game to game, puck lines are almost always set at -1.5 goals for the favorite and +1.5 goals for the underdog. Since hockey is generally a low-scoring sport, this standard line helps level the playing field in matchups featuring heavy favorites, creating a more balanced and competitive betting market.

Let’s look at an example where the Edmonton Oilers are -1.5 at +135 odds on the puck line against the Chicago Blackhawks at +1.5 with -160 odds:

 • For an Oilers -1.5 bet to win, they must win the game by two or more goals. A successful $100 wager would pay out $135 in profit.
 • For the Blackhawks +1.5 to win, they can either lose by one goal or win the game outright. In this case, players would need to shell out $160 to win $100 in profit.

It’s also worth mentioning that puck lines are settled based on the final score, including overtime and shootouts. If you’re laying -1.5 goals, this means your bet can no longer win once the game goes to overtime – it’s sudden death and the next score automatically wins. Conversely, any bets on the +1.5 puck line are guaranteed to win once the game heads to OT thanks to the hook. It’s a double-edged sword.

Oh yeah, and don’t forget about last-second empty-netters. When a team pulls its goalie late in the game to try to tie things up, it often backfires – giving the other side an easy goal that can make or break your puck line bet.

Totals (Over/Under)

Totals, also known as over/unders, focus on the combined number of goals scored by both teams in a game. You’re wagering on whether the final score will be over or under the set line, which typically ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 goals. This number includes goals scored in overtime but not in shootouts.

Picture a game between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins where the total is set at 5.5 goals:

 • Bets on the Over win if the teams combine for 6 or more total goals.
 • Bet on the Under win if the teams combine for 5 or fewer total goals.

Easy enough, right? Just remember: those empty-netters we discussed in the section above can and will affect over/under bets in the same way they do the puck line.

What kind of hockey props are offered?

Looking for more ways to get in on the action beyond the moneyline or puck line? Hockey prop bets allow you to zero in on specific outcomes, from team milestones to player statistics. Whether it’s how many goals the Florida Panthers will score or how many points Matthew Tkachuk will rack up, hockey props give every play a little extra meaning.

Game props

Game props focus on events that happen during the matchup itself – not just who wins or loses. Players can wager on markets such as total goals in the first period, whether the game will go to overtime, or even which team will score first.

For example, if the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames are squaring off, you could wager on whether both teams will find the back of the net in the first period.

Team props

Team props center around a specific team’s performance rather than having both sides involved. For example, you could back the Las Vegas Golden Knights to score over 3.5 goals or the Ottawa Senators to record more shots on goal than their opponent.

Other popular team props include wagering on whether a team will win a specific period, score the first goal, or record more saves. These bets are perfect for players who have a strong read on one team’s style of play or current form.

Player Props

Easily the most popular type of prop bet, player props highlight the stars. Players at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook can wager on props such as Sam Bennett to record 2+ points, Auston Matthews to score a goal, or Sergei Bobrovsky to record more than 27.5 saves. These bets are extremely fun and allow players to cash in even when the game itself may be out of reach.

Here are a few more examples of player props you’ll find at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook:

 • Anytime Goal Scorer: Bet on a player to light the lamp at any point in the game.
 • Player Points (Over/Under): Wager on how many total points (goals + assists) a player will record.
 • Shots on Goal: Bet on how active a player will be offensively, measured by total shots.
 • Goaltender Saves: Predict how many saves a goalie will make during the game.
 • Player Assists: Wager on whether a playmaker will rack up helpers.
 • Player to Score the First Goal: A higher-risk, higher-reward wager on which player will open up the game’s scoring.

Can I bet hockey futures at Hard Rock Bet?

You sure can. If you’re interested in playing the long game, hockey futures are offered at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook and the options are abundant. From predicting the Stanley Cup champion to betting on individual player awards, futures give bettors a reason to stay invested all season long.

Popular hockey futures currently on the board at Hard Rock Bet include:

 • Stanley Cup Winner: Pick which team will hoist the Cup at season’s end.
 • Conference Winners: Bet on which team will represent their conference in the Stanley Cup Finals.
 • Division Winners: Select the team you think will come out on top in their respective division.
 • Regular Season Point Totals: Wager on whether a team will go over or under its projected season-long point total.

FAQ about hockey betting

Still have some questions about betting on hockey? We’ve got you covered.

What’s the difference between the moneyline and the puck line?

Betting the moneyline involves picking which team will win the game outright, while the puck line (typically set at 1.5 goals) serves as a point spread to even out lopsided matchups.

Simply put, the puck line favorite (Panthers -1.5, for example) must win the game by 2 or more goals. The puck line underdog (Lightning +1.5) can either win the game outright or lose by just 1 goal in order for bets to cash.

With the moneyline, there is no required margin of victory. As long as the team you pick comes out victorious, you’re a winner.

Do hockey bets at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook include overtime or shootouts?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated, most hockey wagers (puck line, moneyline, and totals) are graded based on the game’s final score, including overtime or shootouts.

Can I place live (in-play) hockey bets at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook?

Yes. Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook offers a wide selection of live betting markets for hockey, with odds updating in real time as games play out.

Are Same Game Parlays available for hockey?

Yes. Players at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook have the ability to combine several markets from the same hockey game into one big Same Game Parlay. From winners and totals to player props, the options to parlay are endless.

Ahead of Saturday night’s highly-anticipated bout between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, Hard Rock Bet received some insight on the matchup from boxing legend Mike Tyson.

In an interview with rapper Fat Joe at a Hard Rock Bet VIP event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida, Tyson offered his take on what many expect to be the boxing match of the year:

“Oh, that’s gonna be interesting because I would like to see Crawford do it. I can’t see, listen, on paper he doesn’t stand a chance. It has to be some kind of miracle, something happen, cause he can’t run from Canelo. Canelo is fast, I don’t know, Canelo’s still out. He’s not really out of his peak, he’s still good. He’s not washed up.”

After Fat Joe replied with his own prediction, stating that he believes that Crawford isn’t going to lose, Tyson added:

“I don’t want him [Crawford] to lose.”

Latest Canelo vs. Crawford Betting Splits at Hard Rock Bet

Players at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook seem to disagree with Iron Mike’s initial statement that it would take a ‘miracle’ for Crawford to come out on top on Saturday night, as approximately 53% of all Winner bets have been placed on Crawford to defeat Canelo. Crawford is currently listed as a +135 underdog, while Alvarez is available at -175.

Beyond the straight up Winner, the second most-bet market at Hard Rock Bet has been Winning Method:

 • 28% of all Winning Method bets are on Canelo to Win by Decision
 • 20% of all Winning Method bets are on Canelo to Win by KO, TKO or DQ
 • 18% of all Winning Method bets are on the fight ending in a Draw
 • 17% of all Winning Method bets are on Crawford to Win by Decision
 • 17% of all Winning Method bets are on Crawford to Win by KO, TKO or DQ

Last but not least, another market that is getting its fair share of action is Fight To Go The Distance. While some of the aforementioned markets are relatively split, players at Hard Rock Bet are piling on one side here: 93% of all bets have been placed on “Yes” despite it being listed at hefty odds of -300. The “No” option, on the other hand, is currently available at +220 and has garnered just 7% of all wagers.

NFL offseason betting trends

As a brand new NFL season gets set to kick off on Thursday night, Hard Rock Bet is seeing an influx of last-minute futures bets come flying in.

Back at the start of preseason, we broke down the most popular plays across markets like Super Bowl LX winner, NFL MVP and much more.

Now, as Dallas and Philadelphia get ready to open the season, it’s time to revisit the board – spotlighting the biggest movers since our last update along with a few other bets too intriguing to ignore. From a two-way player’s exclusive market gaining steam to a new quarterback leading the way in total MVP bets, this is one you won’t want to miss.

Most-bet teams to win Super Bowl LX

 1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2500)
 2. Buffalo Bills (+650)
 3. Detroit Lions (+1200)
 4. Baltimore Ravens (+650)
 5. Philadelphia Eagles (+700)

Perhaps the most notable omissions from our last Super Bowl LX futures update were the favorites. About one month ago to the day, the Bills, Ravens, Eagles and Lions were all nowhere to be found on our list of most-bet teams to win this year’s Super Bowl. Previously comprised of long-shots like the Giants and Jaguars, Hard Rock Bet is starting to see bettors shift to some of the more realistic options to lift the Lombardi Trophy in February 2026.

Parsons Plummets Packers’ Price

Outside of Kansas City, Green Bay was the only other team with odds of 12-1 or shorter to not crack the Top 5 most-bet teams to win the Super Bowl at Hard Rock Bet. This is largely due to the fact that Green Bay was positioned around the middle of the pack in terms of odds for most of the offseason, priced as high as +2250.

It wasn’t until they completed a blockbuster trade for Cowboys LB Micah Parsons on August 28th that we saw the Packers’ Super Bowl price get sliced nearly in half. Following the marquee addition, the Packers currently sit at +1200 to win it all and have surpassed Detroit as the preseason favorite to win the NFC North.

Bucs, Bills, Lions, Ravens, Eagles and … Travis Hunter?

Believe it or not, an exclusive market at Hard Rock Bet surrounding Jaguars rookie sensation Travis Hunter is garnering more interest from bettors than 27 (!) NFL teams’ Super Bowl futures.

That’s right – after the Bucs, Bills, Lions, Ravens and Eagles, the Travis Hunter special pictured below has racked up the sixth-most bets among all NFL futures placed at Hard Rock Bet thus far.

While it would require the No. 2 overall pick to do the unprecedented and take home both the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year awards in the same season, players at Hard Rock Bet are feeling confident that Hunter has what it takes to make history in 2025.

Travis Hunter OPOY/DPOY exclusive marketMost-bet players to win NFL MVP

 1. Joe Burrow (+600)
 2. Baker Mayfield (+2500)
 3. Jayden Daniels (+900)
 4. Lamar Jackson (+500)
 5. Josh Allen (+550)

Another major development from the last time we checked in revolves around the upcoming race for Most Valuable Player.

Back in early August, Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield held sole possession of the most bets to win the 2025 NFL MVP. Although the Florida faithful is clearly bullish on a third consecutive stellar season from Mayfield, he has since been surpassed by Bengals QB Joe Burrow as the most-bet player to win MVP.

Both Burrow and Mayfield are currently neck-and-neck in terms of total action, but have respectively racked up more than twice as many bets as anyone else in the Top 5, which consists of Commanders QB Jayden Daniels, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and Bills QB Josh Allen, who will look to defend his title after being crowned the league’s MVP in 2024.

Most-bet team win totals: Over

Most-bet NFL win totals at Hard Rock Bet

 1. New York Giants Over 5.5 Wins
 2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over 9.5 Wins
 3. Pittsburgh Steelers Over 8.5 Wins
 4. Miami Dolphins Over 8.5 Wins
 5. Denver Broncos Over 8.5 Wins

Let’s talk team win totals. It may be shocking to some, but the New York Giants have received the most bets among all teams to go over their projected win total in 2025. Set at just 5.5 wins, Hard Rock Bet players are feeling optimistic about Big Blue after an exciting preseason display and a shift from Daniel Jones to trusty veteran Russell Wilson at quarterback.

Beyond New York, a pair of local favorites in the Buccaneers and Dolphins unsurprisingly cracked the Top 5, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and newly-acquired QB Aaron Rodgers sandwiched between them. The Denver Broncos clocked in with the fifth-most bets to go over their win total of 8.5, which has since jumped up to 9.5 at Hard Rock Bet.

Most-bet team win totals: Under

 1. Miami Dolphins Under 8.5 Wins
 2. New England Patriots Under 8.5 Wins
 3. New Orleans Saints Under 6.5 Wins
 4. Indianapolis Colts Under 7.5 Wins
 5. San Francisco 49ers Under 10.5 Wins

As far as unders go, the Dolphins were the lone team to appear on both lists. While Miami did receive the fourth-most bets to eclipse their win total of 8.5, they also ended up with the most bets to fall short of the same number. Some may call it pessimism, while others might consider it a hedge on happiness for a subset of football fans down in South Beach.

After Miami, the New England Patriots clocked in with the second-most bets to finish under their projected total of 8.5 wins. Following consecutive 4-13 seasons in Foxboro, bettors at Hard Rock Bet aren’t buying the hype despite a strong offseason by the Pats.

The third and fourth-most bets were placed on two teams facing dreary outlooks in 2025 in the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts, both of which enter the season with messy situations at quarterback and young coordinators-turned-head coaches at the helm.

Last but not least, we have the San Francisco 49ers rounding out the list with the fifth-most bets to finish under their total of 10.5 wins. After surpassing this mark in 2022 and 2023, the 49ers faced an injury-riddled campaign in 2024 that saw them finish 6-11 and miss the postseason for the first time in four seasons. Despite the consistency we’ve seen from Kyle Shanahan and co., Hard Rock Bet players seem to believe the glory days are all but over in Santa Clara.

Odds – NFL – NFC NORTH ODDS https://www.hardrock.bet/sportsbook/football/nfl/nfc-north-odds/ Fri, 29 Aug 2025 20:30:20 +0000 https://www.hardrock.bet/?page_id=10754 The post Odds – NFL – NFC NORTH ODDS appeared first on Hard Rock Bet.

]]>

The NFC North remains one of the league’s most competitive divisions year in and year out. Following a thrilling 2024 campaign that saw three teams in the division finish with 11+ wins and a playoff berth each, it’s safe to say the stakes couldn’t be higher entering 2025.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know when it comes to betting on the division. From current NFC North odds, to team histories, to a few interesting nuggets to keep in mind ahead of the new season.

Current NFC North odds

Here are the latest NFC North division winner odds on Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook:

How to read the NFC North Odds

NFC North odds, similar to other futures markets offered at Hard Rock Bet, are presented in a simple moneyline (Winner) format. For example, a team listed with a minus sign (-) next to its odds is the favorite, while a team with a plus sign (+) in front of its price is an underdog.

In some cases, like the 2025 NFC North for example, the division race is expected to be so tightly contested that all four teams are listed at plus odds before the season even begins. This presents immense value for players, as they have the opportunity to back whoever they consider to be the strongest team in the division at an attractive price.

As always, these odds reflect how much a player stands to win if they were to bet $100 on that specific team. Here’s an example:

 • Packers +170: Bet $100 on Green Bay to win $270 ($170 profit)
 • Bears +550: Bet $100 on Chicago to win $650 ($550 profit)

What to know: Betting the NFC North

Each NFL division is comprised of four teams, so selecting the winner only requires your preferred squad to edge out three others. Since the pool of teams is much smaller compared to broader markets like betting on the Super Bowl champion or a conference winner, the odds for division winners are typically much lower.

That being said, there are a few intricacies when it comes to betting on each individual division. Here are a few tidbits to keep on your radar heading into the 2025 season:

Home is where the heart is

The four NFC North teams were a combined 25-11 at home in 2024, which was by far the best collective record among all eight divisions. The North was carried by Minnesota’s stellar 8-1 mark at home, followed by Detroit’s 7-2 record at Ford Field and Green Bay’s modest 6-3 finish at Lambeau. And although the Bears managed to win just five games on the season, four of them occurred at Soldier Field.

Pack Attack

Despite finishing last season with a solid 11-6 record that resulted in a playoff berth, the Packers struggled mightily against their fellow NFC North foes. Green Bay ended up going 1-5 in division games compared to 10-1 versus everyone else – with their lone loss outside of the division coming in Week 1 against the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

This is something to keep in mind as Green Bay recently emerged as the odds-on favorite to take the North in 2025.

Familiar faces, new places

As always, it’s extremely important to keep up with any offseason moves ahead of a brand new NFL season. From the blockbuster trade that sent Micah Parsons to Green Bay or former Lions OC Ben Johnson remaining in the division after accepting the Bears’ head coaching gig, there’s tons of movement that takes place between seasons. Be sure to do your research and get a strong feel for how teams are coming into the new year before locking in any wagers.

NFC North Teams

The NFC North is made up of four teams: the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. All four teams hail from a prominent city in the midwest and three of them (Green Bay, Chicago & Detroit) are a few of the oldest franchises in NFL history. Embedded in tradition with some of the fiercest rivalries in all of sports, the NFC North is one of the league’s most compelling divisions. Let’s get into each team:

Chicago Bears

 • Stadium: Solider Field, Chicago, Illinois
 • Last NFC North Division Title: 2018

The Chicago Bears are one of the NFL’s oldest and most storied franchises, first joining the league in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys before relocating to Chicago a year later. A charter member of the NFL, the Bears boast eight NFL Championships and a Super Bowl XX victory, giving them one of the richest legacies in professional football. They have captured the NFC North crown on four occasions since the 2002 realignment, with their most recent division title coming in 2018.

Since that breakthrough, however, Chicago has struggled to find consistent success. The team has failed to produce a winning season in each of the last six years, enduring frequent coaching changes and instability at quarterback. Despite the turbulence, optimism is growing again in the Windy City, thanks to a talented defense and an infusion of young playmakers on offense.

That momentum now centers on second-year quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Paired with new head coach Ben Johnson, Williams is expected to usher in a new era for the Bears alongside skill players like WR DJ Moore, WR Rome Odunze, and RB D’Andre Swift. If Williams can acclimate quickly and the defense continues to improve, Chicago could emerge as a legitimate contender to disrupt Detroit, Green Bay, and Minnesota in the NFC North race in 2025.

Detroit Lions

 • Stadium: Ford Field, Detroit, Michigan
 • Last NFC North Title: 2024

The Detroit Lions were established in 1930 as the Portsmouth Spartans before relocating to Detroit in 1934. Once among the league’s proudest franchises with four NFL Championships in the early 1900s, the Lions endured decades of mediocrity in the Super Bowl era. The team has totaled just six division crowns since its inception almost a full century ago.

Their most recent, however, came in 2024, when Dan Campbell’s squad delivered the best regular season in franchise history. The Lions finished 15-2 and claimed the NFC’s No. 1 seed, sweeping their divisional rivals along the way.

Although it ended in heartbreak, as Detroit fell to the Washington Commanders at home in the Divisional Round, the Lions enter 2025 with the second-best odds of winning the NFC behind Philadelphia. They’ll look not only to secure their third consecutive NFC North crown, but also to finally push through to their first-ever Super Bowl appearance.

Green Bay Packers

 • Stadium: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
 • Last NFC North Division Title: 2021

The Green Bay Packers are the NFL’s third-oldest franchise, first entering the league in 1921. Known for their historic home at Lambeau Field and endless tradition, the Packers proudly boast 13 league championships – including four Super Bowls. In fact, Green Bay was the first team in NFL history to win a Super Bowl, going back-to-back in 1966 and 1967 to take Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II.

Since the 2002 NFL realignment, Green Bay has dominated the NFC North with 12 division titles, the last of which came in 2021 during Aaron Rodgers’ final MVP campaign. Since Rodgers’ departure, the Packers have passed the baton to Jordan Love at quarterback. Love delivered flashes of star potential in his first two years as a starter, helping Green Bay reach the postseason in 2023 and 2024.

Now entering 2025, Love has a chance to solidify himself as the long-term face of the franchise. If his growth continues and the defense is firing on all cylinders with the addition of Micah Parsons, Green Bay could challenge Detroit for its first NFC North title since 2021.

Minnesota Vikings

 • Stadium: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
 • Last NFC North Division Title: 2022

The Minnesota Vikings joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1961 and quickly developed into one of the league’s most competitive franchises. Less than two decades removed from their inception, Minnesota appeared in four Super Bowls from 1969-1976, mostly led by QB Fran Tarkenton and their legendary defensive line dubbed the “Purple People Eaters”. Unfortunately for Vikings fans, all four appearances resulted in a loss and they haven’t returned to football’s biggest stage ever since.

Following the 2002 divisional realignment, Minnesota has captured five NFC North crowns, most recently in 2022 when they finished 13-4. Despite the regular season success, the Vikings’ playoff shortcomings have continued – the 2022 squad was ousted in the Wild Card Round by Daniel Jones and a sneaky underdog New York Giants team. They managed to rebound with another strong season in 2023 but fell short of overtaking Detroit in the North.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Vikings will heavily lean on WR Justin Jefferson, one of the NFL’s most unstoppable offensive weapons, and second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the heir apparent under center. Backed by a talented core that includes RB Aaron Jones, WR Jordan Addison and TE T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota has all the tools to contest for another NFC North title.

What history tells us about NFC North betting

The NFC North has traditionally been one of the NFL’s more competitive divisions, and that’s especially true as of late. Over the last seven seasons, each team in the division has secured an NFC North title at least once.

Green and Gold Standard

Since the NFL’s divisional realignment in 2002, the Packers have had a firm grip on the NFC North. Green Bay has won the division a remarkable twelve times across 23 seasons, including three separate instances with three or more consecutive years atop the North.

During that span, Minnesota has the second-most NFC North titles with five, while Chicago trails them with four of their own. Detroit finally got on the board in 2023 and 2024 and will enter 2025 as the defending back-to-back NFC North champs.

Three’s Company

Since 2002, there have been 13 instances in which one division produced three playoff teams in a single season. The 2024 campaign marked the first time the NFC North accomplished this feat with Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota all punching their tickets into the gauntlet. As the final division in the NFC to do so, they leave the AFC East as the only division in football that has yet to get it done at least once.

Additionally, since the expanded playoffs began in 2020, there has been at least one instance of this happening in each of the last five seasons. With the trend likely to continue in 2025, it’s entirely possible that the NFC North pulls it off in consecutive seasons.

Recent NFC North Winners

Here’s how things have gone down in the NFC North over the last five seasons:

 • 2024 Detroit Lions: After decades of futility, 2024 marked the Lions’ most dominant season in franchise history. Detroit stormed to a 15-2 record and a second consecutive NFC North title behind the steady leadership of Jared Goff, who threw for over 4,500 yards and 37 touchdowns. Detroit’s two-headed monster in the backfield, made up of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, was virtually unstoppable as the two backs combined for more than 3,000 total yards and 32 touchdowns. The Lions not only locked up the division but also claimed the NFC’s No. 1 seed for the first time in franchise history. Despite securing a first-round bye along with homefield advantage, they were unfortunately bounced from the playoffs by the Washington Commanders in the Divisional Round, 45-31.
 • 2023 Detroit Lions: The Lions finally broke through in 2023 with their first division crown since 1993, finishing 12-5 and establishing themselves as the NFC North’s new standard. QB Jared Goff delivered a resurgent season, topping 4,500 passing yards and 30 touchdowns with the help of several young, explosive playmakers in RB Jahmyr Gibbs, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and TE Sam LaPorta. Dan Campbell’s squad not only won the North but also locked up the franchise’s first playoff victory since 1991, igniting a wave of optimism across the Motor City for the first time in decades.
 • 2022 Minnesota Vikings: Minnesota stormed through 2022 with a 13-4 record, powered by the brilliance of WR Justin Jefferson. The star wideout cemented his place as the league’s premier receiver, racking up over 1,800 yards and 8 touchdowns en route to Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All Pro honors. Additionally, QB Kirk Cousins led the league in game-winning drives as the Vikings posted an incredible 11-0 record in one-score games. Although their playoff run was cut short by the New York Giants, the magical regular season brought the Vikings their first NFC North title since 2017.
 • 2021 Green Bay Packers: Green Bay captured its third straight NFC North crown in 2021, finishing 13-4 behind a second consecutive MVP season from Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers threw for 37 touchdowns against only 4 interceptions, showcasing efficiency that few quarterbacks in league history have matched. Despite another strong campaign, Green Bay once again fell short in the postseason, losing 13-10 in the Divisional Round against the 49ers on a frigid night at Lambeau Field.
 • 2020 Green Bay Packers: The Packers reigned supreme in 2020, closing the year with a 13-3 record and back-to-back NFC North titles. Aaron Rodgers put together one of the finest seasons of his legendary career, throwing for 48 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions on his way to winning his third NFL MVP. Davante Adams was unstoppable as well, leading the league with 18 touchdown receptions. With Matt LaFleur’s offense rolling, the Packers looked like a juggernaut – until they ran into Tom Brady’s Buccaneers and fell 31-26 in the NFC Championship Game.

most bet to win the cfpChalk Leads the Charge

We’ll begin with the obvious. It should come as no surprise that the co-favorites, Texas and Ohio State, are leading the way in terms of most bets to win the 2025 College Football Playoff. In fact, the defending champion Buckeyes and preseason No. 1-ranked Longhorns have garnered more than twice the amount of action as any other team in the field thus far. That being said, Hard Rock Bet players will certainly be keeping tabs on their early-season meeting, which will take place during Week 1 in Columbus.

Gator Boys Stay Hot?

In a shocking turn of events, the No. 15-ranked Florida Gators have racked up the third-most bets to win the 2025 National Championship at Hard Rock Bet. Priced at 30-1 to win it all, the Gators are one of the bigger long shots to make the list. They are joined in the top 12 by fellow Florida schools Miami (also 30-1) and Florida State (100-1).

It’ll undoubtably be a make-or-break Year 4 for HC Billy Napier, who secured his first winning season with the Gators in 2024. After a sluggish 4-5 start, Florida notched four straight wins to end the season – capped off by a 33-8 victory in the Gasparilla Bowl over Tulane.

And while the program as a whole has yet to clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff since its inception in 2014, players at Hard Rock Bet are feeling optimistic after their counterparts on the basketball court pulled through as an even-bigger long shot to win the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

Will the football Gators keep the good times rolling in Gainesville? Their gauntlet of a schedule certainly won’t make things easy – after a pair of tune-up games to open the season, Florida will play 7 of its final 10 games against preseason Top 25 teams.

Most-bet teams to Reach the College Football Playoff

 1. Florida Gators (+350)
 2. Texas Longhorns (-325)
 3. Miami (FL) Hurricanes (+170)
 4. Ohio State Buckeyes (-400)
 5. Clemson Tigers (-200)
 6. Florida State Seminoles (+1400)
 7. Georgia Bulldogs (-250)
 8. Penn State Nittany Lions (-350)

college football playoff bettingAmong the Top 8 most-bet teams to reach the 2025 College Football Playoff at Hard Rock Bet, all but three of them are considerably heavy favorites. The three underdogs to make the list? The aforementioned trio of FL schools: Florida, Miami and Florida State. After all, Hard Rock Bet is the exclusive provider of Florida sports betting.

Florida Loves Florida

At generous odds of +350, Florida has received by-far the most bets to reach the CFP – we’re talking more than twice as many as Texas. This isn’t a shocker by any means, however, especially when considering the amount of action we’ve seen on the Gators to win the whole kit and caboodle.

Hurricanes Brewing

Similar to the Gators, the Miami Hurricanes are receiving their fair share of action to reach the CFP in 2025, clocking in with the third-most bets thus far. Miami’s program is on a similar trajectory, as they prepare to enter Year 4 under HC Mario Cristobal, fresh off his best season with the ‘Canes. Although Miami did end up missing the Playoff in 2024, their 10-3 record marked the program’s best finish since 2017.

Despite losing QB Cam Ward to the NFL, players at Hard Rock Bet expect the Hurricanes to take the next step with a light schedule on tap in a very weak ACC. In fact, after taking on No. 6 Notre Dame in their season opener, Miami will face just two preseason Top 25 teams the rest of the way – a home tilt against No. 15 Florida in September and a road matchup at No. 16 SMU in early November.

Most notably, No. 4 Clemson – the clear favorite to win the conference – does not appear on Miami’s schedule. At +170, there is definitely a path for the Hurricanes to clinch their first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff since it first began in 2014.

Seminole Miracle

Floridians are surprisingly bullish on a bounce-back season for HC Mike Norvell and co. following the program’s 2-10 finish in 2024 – its worst since 1974. In addition to receiving the 12thmost bets to win the 2025 National Championship at 100-1, Florida State has totaled the sixth-most bets to reach the CFP at 14-1.

It isn’t as crazy as it sounds: before last year’s injury-riddled campaign, Norvell led the Seminoles to a sparkling 13-1 season in 2023, including a perfect 8-0 record in the ACC. A late-season injury to QB Jordan Travis did end up forcing the selection committee to exclude the Seminoles from the CFP in the final year of the four-team format, however the expanded playoff has opened up more opportunities to sneak in.

Aided by a fairly light schedule, this season will be predicated on how the Seminoles set the tone early on. They’ll host a pair of preseason Top 10 teams in No. 8 Alabama and No. 10 Miami at Doak Campbell Stadium within their first five games, meaning that 14-1 price could fall fast if things go well.

Most Anticipated Week 0/Week 1 Matchups

Now that we’ve gone over the most notable futures betting trends, let’s get into some upcoming games. Players at Hard Rock Bet are keyed in on the following matchups, as they’ve received the most bets among all contests taking place during Week 0 or Week 1:

 • Florida State Seminoles vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
 • Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Texas Longhorns
 • Kansas State Wildcats vs. Iowa State Cyclones
 • Kansas Jayhawks vs. Fresno State Bulldogs
 • Miami (FL) Hurricanes vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

With Week 0 on the precipice, it makes sense that the Aer Lingus College Football Classic between No. 22 Iowa State and No. 17 Kansas State made the list – the same goes for Fresno State and Kansas’ Saturday meeting in Lawrence.

But looking ahead even further to Week 1, three high-profile matchups are already racking up heavy interest from bettors, and for good reason:

No. 8 Alabama (-13.5) vs Florida State (+400)

Going back to Florida State, their season will likely shape out depending on what happens during their Week 1 clash with Alabama. Taking on the Crimson Tide to open the season always comes with major risk, as we’ve seen teams in the past have their season derailed right out of the gate, whether it be due to injuries sustained from the game or a lopsided defeat. The Seminoles will need to be up to the task in this one, as they are currently listed as 13.5-point home underdogs against the Tide.

Still over a week out, this game has received a lot of betting interest. Additionally, Florida State (+400) has been the most popular moneyline underdog at Hard Rock Bet, receiving the most bets among all applicable teams thus far.

No. 1 Texas (+2) vs No. 3 Ohio State (-130)

Simply put, it doesn’t get much better than a meeting between Top 3 teams to open up the season. To heighten the stakes even further, the defending National Champion Buckeyes will get to play host to the preseason No. 1-ranked team in Texas, a situation that may feel a bit disrespectful to any returnees on Ohio State’s roster.

This matchup will also mark the dawn of a new era, as redshirt freshman QB Julian Sayin will get his first real taste of action under center for Ohio State while facing off against sophomore QB Arch Manning. Despite entering this one as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation, the Longhorns are listed as a short 2-point underdog at Hard Rock Bet. With this one likely to come down to the wire, players are rightfully getting excited for it.

No. 6 Notre Dame (-2) vs No. 10 Miami (+110)

Last but not least, we’ve got a standalone Sunday night Top 10 matchup between No. 6 Notre Dame and No. 10 Miami. This modern day rendition of the legendary ‘Catholics vs. Convicts’ game is drawing major betting interest at Hard Rock Bet.

The Fighting Irish will enter this contest fresh off a 34-23 loss to Ohio State in the 2024 National Championship game, hoping to replicate the stellar regular season that got them there. HC Marcus Freeman will hand the ball off to redshirt freshman QB CJ Carr, who will be taking his first snaps under center as a college quarterback.

On the opposite sideline, Georgia transfer QB Carson Beck will lead the way for the Hurricanes, who have a major opportunity in front of them with the No. 6-ranked team coming into Hard Rock Stadium to begin the campaign. Notre Dame is currently listed as a slight 2-point favorite on the road, while Miami is garnering significant interest on the moneyline at +110. Hard Rock Bet players appear to be feeling good about this one, as the U has received major support as an underdog.

The NFC South is one of the National Football League’s most balanced and hectic divisions year in and year out. It’s comprised of four teams hailing from big cities down south with some of the best fans the sport has to offer. Between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints, the division’s hierarchy always seems to fluctuate – which makes betting on the NFC South one of the most exciting ways to bet on the NFL at Hard Rock Bet.

Current NFC South odds

The latest live odds on Hard Rock Bet for NFC South division winner:

How to read the NFC South odds

NFL divisional odds at Hard Rock Bet are displayed in a simple moneyline/winner format. Teams listed with a minus sign (-) next to their name on the board are the favorites, while any others listed next to a plus sign (+) are the underdogs.

When betting on a favorite, the odds indicate how much money you’d need to put up in order to profit $100 on your wager. For underdogs, the price represents how much you would stand to win if you were to place a $100 wager on that team. The higher the odds, the larger the payout. Here’s an example using NFC South teams:

 • Buccaneers -105: Bet $105 on Tampa Bay to win $205 ($100 profit)
 • Saints +1200: Bet $100 on New Orleans to win $1300 ($1200 profit)

What to know: Betting the NFC South

Considering each NFL division is made up of just four teams, the odds for any of them to win that division are fairly tight compared to other football betting markets at Hard Rock Bet. For example, Super Bowl odds cover 32 different teams – meaning some of the bigger longshots can reach as high as +50000.

NFC South goes streaking

The NFC South has experienced a very interesting pattern of division winners since its inception in 2002. From that inaugural season up until 2014, a span of 12 seasons, there had not been a back-to-back division winner in the South.

However, since the Panthers broke that streak and took the division in three consecutive seasons (2013-2015), the Saints (2017-2020) and Buccaneers (2021-2024) have each followed suit with respective streaks of four straight seasons claiming the NFC South.

Timing is everything

Hard Rock Bet’s NFC South odds are updated around the clock – whether it’s during the offseason, after a game or following substantial news involving a key player. That being said, players can use this to their advantage by jumping on a specific team they’ve been eyeing as soon as the timing is right.

When betting on a division winner in the NFL, the result is not going to happen overnight. A single game may have a slight impact on the price or the trajectory of a team’s season, but it certainly isn’t the end all be all.

Simply put, the timing of when you place your wager is arguably just as important as the team you decide to back. Over the course of a season, injuries, trades, weather conditions, coaching changes, and even scheduling can dramatically swing a team’s outlook. Hard Rock Bet’s odds reflect these changes in real time, meaning value can appear and vanish in the blink of an eye.

In short, picking the right team is only half the battle. The other half is understanding market movement, keeping tabs on news, and striking at the right time – when the odds offer the most upside.

NFC South Teams

The NFC South consists of four teams, each hailing from a major city down south: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints. From the culture embedded in each of these four cities to the history behind each franchise, the NFC South is undoubtedly one of the most unique divisions the league has to offer. Let’s dive into each team:

Atlanta Falcons: Time for a leap

 • Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
 • Last NFC South Division Title: 2016

The Atlanta Falcons are the oldest franchise in the NFC South, first entering the National Football League in 1966. After spending the majority of their existence in the NFC West (1970-2001), Atlanta was realigned to the NFC South during the conference’s inaugural season in 2002. They have since locked up four NFC South division titles, with their most recent coming in 2016 – the same year they blew a late 28-3 lead in Super Bowl LI against the New England Patriots.

Since that run ended, Atlanta has somewhat fallen on hard times: the team has failed to finish above .500 in each of the last seven seasons. Despite this, there appears to be some positive momentum brewing for the Dirty Birds: first-year HC Raheem Morris led the team to its highest win total (8) since 2017 during his debut campaign last season.

Morris will now hand the keys off to second-year QB Michael Penix Jr., who will look to take a major leap in his sophomore season with the help of Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Kyle Pitts. If everything pans out, Atlanta just might find itself in position to challenge Tampa Bay for the NFC South crown in 2025.

Carolina Panthers: New beginnings?

 • Stadium: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina
 • Last NFC South Division Title: 2015

The Carolina Panthers are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, first entering the mix in 1995. Similar to Atlanta, Carolina spent its first seven seasons as a member of the NFC West before moving over to the newly-founded NFC South in 2002.

Despite being a member of the NFL for just 30 seasons thus far, the Panthers have experienced their fair share of success over the years. The franchise has six division titles to its name to go along with a pair of NFC Championship victories in 2003 and 2015. Unfortunately for Panthers fans, both of those seasons ended with a narrow loss in the Super Bowl.

Looking ahead to 2025, all eyes will surely be on second-year HC Dave Canales and his young quarterback Bryce Young. After an abysmal 1-7 start to the 2024 season, Canales and Young rallied the team to a 5-12 finish, notching a 4-5 record over their final nine games. It remains to be seen if the 2025 Panthers will manage to finish above .500 for the first time since 2017, but one thing is for certain: the foundation is there.

New Orleans Saints: Return of the Aints

 • Stadium: Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
 • Last NFC South Title: 2020

The New Orleans Saints are the second-oldest team in the NFC South, just behind the Falcons. The franchise’s inaugural season occurred in 1967 and it ended up taking a mind-boggling 20 years until they finished with a record above .500 (12-3 in 1987).

In fact, the team struggled so much early on that they were dubbed ‘The Aints’ by their fans, who are credited with starting the trend of sports fans showing up to games with brown paper bags over their heads to express displeasure with the team’s performance.

There have been several bright spots for the Saints over years, however, including an improbable Super Bowl XLIV victory in 2009 – just a few years after the city was impacted forever by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Following that historic win, the franchise went on its strongest run in team history with eight playoff appearances over a span of twelve seasons.

Fast forward to present day and things are trending downward in the Big Easy. The Saints opened the 2025 campaign tied for the longest odds to win Super Bowl LX at 250-1. Led by first-year HC Kellen Moore and a quarterback room full of unprovens, it’s looking like another lost season could be in the works in New Orleans.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Four-time defending champ

 • Stadium: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, Florida
 • Last NFC South Title: 2024

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers first broke onto the scene in 1976, spending one season in the AFC West before moving over to the NFC Central from 1977-2001. The Bucs then joined the newly-formed NFC South in 2002, becoming the division’s first ever champion en route to an even bigger victory in Super Bowl XXXVII over the Raiders.

A bit after the dust settled from the franchise’s first championship, Tampa Bay endured a twelve-year stretch with zero playoff appearances from 2008-2019. Then, the unprecedented happened: Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback in the sport’s history, left his longtime Patriots to head down south. Brady instantly made an impact in Tampa Bay, uplifting the franchise to a Super Bowl LV victory during his first season in 2020.

And despite retiring after just three seasons in Tampa Bay, Brady clearly made his mark on the franchise. The Buccaneers are currently enjoying a stretch of four consecutive NFC South titles, two of which have occurred in the post-Brady era led by Baker Mayfield. As the odds-on favorite to capture the South for a fifth-straight year, the pressure will certainly be on as the Bucs look to fend off a few young teams on the rise within the division.

What history tells us about NFC South betting

The NFC South is typically viewed as one of the more open divisions in the NFL, year in and year out. As mentioned above, it took more than a decade until an NFC South team managed to lock up back-to-back division titles, which first occurred when Cam Newton’s Panthers did so in three consecutive seasons from 2013-2015.

Since that run by the Panthers and a one-off title by the Falcons in 2016, the NFC South has experienced nothing but back-to-back winners. In fact, the division has been won by either the Saints or Buccaneers in each of the last eight seasons.

It remains to be seen if this streak will continue in 2025, but the Buccaneers should be up for the task as the odds-on favorite to win the division at Hard Rock Bet.

Dominance in the division

Since its inception in 2002, the Buccaneers and Saints have experienced the most success within the division with seven NFC South titles apiece. The Panthers trail both franchises with five titles during that span, while the Falcons currently have the fewest in the division’s history with just four titles.

Bounce back brewing?

Perhaps the most unique fact about the NFC South is that the division’s last-place finisher ended up making the playoffs the following year in every season from 2002 through 2008 – a span of seven seasons.

Six of those seven teams even went on to win the division outright, going from worst to first in just one season. The 2007 Falcons were the lone exception, going from a 4-12 finish in 2006 to 11-5 the following season to clinch a Wild Card berth.

Recent NFC South Winners

Here’s how the NFC South has shaped out the last five seasons:

 • 2024 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Despite locking up the division in each of the previous two seasons, Tampa Bay hadn’t won double-digit games in the regular season since 2021. That changed in 2024, as Baker Mayfield elevated his game to that of a Top 10 quarterback in all of football. Mayfield finished the season with a whopping 4,500 passing yards and 41 touchdowns while leading the Bucs to a 10-7 record and their fourth division title in as many seasons.
 • 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: In the first year of the post-Brady era, Tampa Bay caught lightning in a bottle by bringing in former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield to command their offense. After a somewhat rocky start to his NFL career, Mayfield instantly found a home in Tampa Bay. He posted career highs in both passing yards and passing touchdowns en route to a 9-8 record and the team’s third consecutive NFC South title.
 • 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: In Tom Brady’s final NFL season, the Buccaneers underwhelmed with a mediocre 8-9 record in the regular season. Despite this, they lucked out as the rest of the division finished with identical 7-10 records. As such, Tampa Bay became just the fourth team in NFL history to win their division and clinch a playoff berth with a record under .500. They joined the 2014 Panthers as the only NFC South teams to do so.
 • 2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: As the defending Super Bowl champions, Tampa Bay showed no signs of slowing down during the 2021 regular season. Tom Brady led the Bucs to a 13-4 record and the franchise’s first NFC South title since 2007. Tampa Bay’s quest to repeat as champs did fall short, however, as Matthew Stafford and the eventual champion Rams took them down in a classic Divisional Round matchup, 30-27.
 • 2020 New Orleans Saints: 2020 was a special year for the city of New Orleans, as the Saints rumbled to a 12-4 record and a first-place finish in the NFC South. This season also marked the end of legendary franchise QB Drew Brees’ NFL career, as he would hang up his cleats following a Divisional Round loss to Tom Brady’s Buccaneers. Unfortunately for Saints fans, the second-place Bucs would go on to win Super Bowl LV after knocking off New Orleans.

As golf continues to soar in popularity, betting on golf is booming too. From hitting the links at your local course to watching the pros let it rip on the PGA Tour, seemingly everyone wants in.

While golf is widely considered a leisurely game predicated on patience and precision, betting on it requires a strong understanding of the sport and its rules. In this guide we’ll walk you through everything you should know about betting on golf.

Golf tours to bet on at Hard Rock Bet

Hard Rock Bet offers a generous amount of options when it comes to betting on golf. Players will have access to markets for several notable golf tours, from household names like the PGA Tour to international competitions.

Below is an overview of the golf tours you can wager on at Hard Rock Bet:

PGA Tour

The PGA Tour stands as the pinnacle of professional golf. From tentpole events like the four major championships to weekly competitions featuring some of the most breath-taking golf courses in the world, you can set your watch to the PGA Tour giving you something to look forward to almost every weekend during golf season.

The four major championships consist of the following tournaments: The Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open and The Open Championship. Although it technically does not count as one in the record books, The Players Championship is also widely considered the PGA Tour’s unofficial fifth major.

Some of the other marquee events that take place on the PGA Tour each year include the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, WM Phoenix Open, The Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Memorial Tournament and the Travelers Championship.

In addition to selecting the outright winner of these tournaments, some of the more common PGA Tour markets at Hard Rock Bet include Top 5, Top 10, Top 20, End of Round Leader and head-to-head player matchups.

DP World Tour

Formerly known as The European Tour, the DP World Tour is another popular option available to golf bettors at Hard Rock Bet. It features top talent from all over the globe competing in a handful of notable events including the BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship and DP World Tour Championship.

Similar to the PGA Tour, Hard Rock Bet players can wager on several different markets during DP World Tour events including outright winner and Top 5, Top 10, or Top 20.

LIV Golf

LIV Golf is a fairly new and innovative addition to the professional golf world that first broke onto the scene with its inaugural event in June 2022. The tour features several of golf’s biggest names, most of whom were poached from the PGA Tour through insurmountable contracts unlike anything the sport had ever seen.

LIV Golf markets are available at Hard Rock Bet and they are plentiful. From outright winner to unique live betting markets on specific holes, there’s a lot to love about the LIV offerings at Hard Rock Bet.

How to bet on golf at Hard Rock Bet

Betting on golf at Hard Rock Bet is a breeze. Let’s go over all of the steps you’ll need to take to get started, from creating an account to confirming your first golf wager.

Let’s start with the betting app. Upon loading the homepage on mobile, you will be able to access golf markets by selecting ‘All Sports’ or by heading over to the Trending Now section and clicking on ‘View all leagues’. Either option will bring you to the same running list of available sports in which you can scroll down and select ‘Golf’. All of the tours and tournaments that Hard Rock Bet players can wager on will be listed under this category.

A visual representation of how Hard Rock Bet users can locate golf betting markets on the mobile app.

For desktop users, it’s equally as simple. Those using the web browser version of Hard Rock Bet can find the ‘All Leagues’ tab in the column on the lefthand side of the homepage. Furthermore, the Trending Now section is positioned directly in the middle of this page, located just below the scrolling banner of promotions.

One additional way in which desktop users can locate Hard Rock Bet’s golf markets is by utilizing the search function at the top of the homepage. By simply typing ‘Golf’ in the search bar, it will automatically pull up the next few tournaments in chronological order as well as redirect you to the full menu of options if you click on ‘Golf’.

All things considered, gravitating toward the ‘All Leagues’ option is your best bet. If for any reason you don’t see a specific tour or tournament listed, it doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t offered at Hard Rock Bet – it just isn’t listed at that exact moment in time.

Note: There will be some differences in available betting markets from state to state.

Select and place your wager(s)

Once you’ve located all of the golf betting markets, it’s time to get thinking. Select the tournament you wish to bet on and browse all of wagering options associated with it. Click on any of them to instantly add them to your bet slip, enter the amount you’d like to bet, and confirm your selections by hitting ‘Place bet’.

After locking in any wagers, you can review all of the details of your bet slip including the stake, odds, and time placed by heading over to the ‘My Bets’ tab on mobile. On desktop, this tab is accessible by clicking on the bet slip icon located next to your account balance in the upper-righthand corner. Now it’s time to tee off!

Popular ways to bet on golf

Considering how large the field of players typically is, there are plenty of different ways to wager on a golf event.

Whether you’re backing your favorite player to win it all, wagering on consistent top performers, or making strategic head-to-head picks, the golf betting options at Hard Rock Bet are immense. Here’s a look into what’s on offer:

Winner bets

While it can often be difficult to do, picking the outright winner of a specific golf tournament is probably the most common and simple way to bet on the sport. It’s as cut and dry as it gets: pick the winner of the event and your bet will cash if they come out on top – no questions asked.

With large fields consisting of 100+ participants in most PGA Tour events, the options are seemingly endless and the odds can get generous. In most tournaments, even the odds-on favorite will be available at plus odds.

And unlike the Top 5, Top 10 and Top 20 markets we’re about to go over below, there’s no need to worry about ties when betting on the outright winner. If an event happens to end in a tie, a playoff will take place to determine the last man standing. It doesn’t get much simpler than taking a winner bet in golf.

Reading golf winner odds

When betting on the winner of a golf tournament the odds will be listed in a traditional moneyline/winner format. As mentioned, it’s common in golf betting for the favorites to be listed with plus odds. If Rory McIlroy is listed at +350, this means that a $100 bet will return $350 in profit, or $450 total ($100 bet + $350 profit). If Scottie Scheffler is listed at +475 meaning a $100 bet would return $575 if it wins ($100 bet + $475 profit).

A screenshot of the 'Winner' market for the 2025 PGA Championship at Hard Rock Bet. Top 5, 10, and 20

Hard Rock Bet also provides markets for players to finish within the Top 5, Top 10, or Top 20 in the final standings of a golf event. These wagers offer much shorter odds than outright winner bets, but also open up more opportunities to cash since the golfer isn’t required to come in 1st place in order for your bet to win.

Dead-heat rule for golf betting

Going back to the talk of ties, these can and will come into play when betting on a Top 5, Top 10 or Top 20 finish. If finishing positions cannot be separated by the end of an event (ie: multiple golfers tie for 5th place), the Dead-Heat Rule will come into effect. When this happens, the stake of the wager will be divided by the number of tied participants, effectively lowering the total payout.

Head-to-head bets involve putting two or more golfers up against one another and predicting which one will finish with the lowest score. These markets can extend throughout an entire competition or be listed for a specific round or group of holes.

The screenshot below showcases a three-way head-to-head matchup during a LIV Golf event in Korea. In this case, the market will be graded based on the results of the 1st Round and involves three golfers rather than two. By the end of the 1st round, the golfer with the lowest score amongst those three options will win the bet.

End of round leader

If you have a hunch that a long-shot golfer might be in the mix but don’t believe they can hang in it for all four rounds, look no further than the End of Round Leader market at Hard Rock Bet.

This unique offering allows players to back a golfer to finish atop the leaderboard during a specific round, effectively eliminating any weekend-long sweats or the need for your golfer to post four consecutive stellar rounds.

Similar to Top 5, Top 10 or Top 20 finishers, it’s important to keep in mind that Dead-Heat Rules will apply here in the event of any ties.

Props & specials

For those looking to spice things up a bit more, Hard Rock Bet offers a ton of unique props and special markets for each golf event listed on the app and website:

Golf parlays

Golf parlays are another exciting way to bet on the sport. With a parlay you’re tying multiple wagers together on one ticket where the outcome of every bet matters for the overall success of the wager. For example, when betting on golf you could string together multiple group winners on to one parlay ticket. Win every leg and the payouts can be impressive.

Live betting on golf

Live betting, or in-play betting, is another form of wagering available at Hard Rock Bet. It allows players to place a bet on a golf tournament after it has already started. Missed the first tee time? Don’t sweat it – Hard Rock Bet has you covered.

Live betting on golf can open up several intriguing opportunities during an event, from jumping on a heavy favorite who got off to a slow start to grabbing a live long-shot at a lower but still favorable price.

It essentially allows players to get a feel for an event and effectively make spur-of-the-moment decisions based on what they are watching. This not only can make things a little bit more exciting, but also open up doors for some potentially big wins!
